Business litigation involves a range of disputes including the areas of: contract rights and breaches; intra-organization disputes including shareholders against management and partner against partner; and debt collection. The firm represents clients in such disputes and related areas of business litigation.
Entertainment contracts and licenses may have arcane rules and hard-to-understand terms. An experienced entertainment and intellectual property lawyer can help guide you through them. If a dispute arises, from “idea theft” (which may involve federal copyright law, state breach of contract law, or both) to breach of contract, an experienced attorney can help you to develop a cost-effective strategy to protect your rights. Attorney Charles B. Rosenberg has been practicing in the entertainment and intellectual property counseling and litigation fields for over three decades.
Charles’s engagement with the entertainment industry extends into hands-on aspects of the industry. He has acted as the credited technical legal consultant for a number of prime-time TV programs, including The Practice, LA Law, Paper Chase, and, most recently, Boston Legal. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Taos Film Festival, and appeared as an on-air correspondent for E! Television’s coverage of the O.J. Simpson criminal and civil trials. Charles’s experience with the entertainment industry helps him do more than litigate cases, however. For the past seven years, he has taught courses on entertainment law, copyright and other business-related courses at the Pepperdine School of Law, the Loyola Law School and the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
